We were saddened to learn this week that John Atherton, a founding member of Church Action on Poverty, has passed away.
Canon Professor John Atherton helped to set up Church Action on Poverty in 1982, and had a long and successful career as a priest and academic theologian, working for the William Temple Foundation.
